George Gershwin International Music Competition aims to discover talent, reward brilliance, and celebrate musical artistry.

The Competition is named after George Gershwin, whose music had long been a part of the American consciousness. Truly a pioneer in his field, George Gershwin drew inspiration from European classical music, American popular music, and jazz to form a unique style that would come to define American music.

Offering international talents performance opportunities, the competition aims to universalize George Gershwin's extraordinary legacy around the world. George Gershwin International Music Competition 2017 is a magical journey to the world of music. Two weeks, full of exquisite performances, master classes by the world’s renowned musicians, and enlightening community outreach programs, culminate with the competition Award Ceremony, when the winners will be presented with exceptional opportunities, launching international concert careers.

Along with monetary awards, finalists of the Gershwin International Music Competition 2017 will receive 2-year career management, which will include performances at Carnegie Hall and other notable venues in the USA and abroad, critically acclaimed recordings on prestigious music labels, performances with world’s leading orchestras, and marketing media promotion.

Founded in 2013 by American pianist and composer Michael Bulychev-Okser, George Gershwin International Music Competition takes place every two years in New York, USA, and is open to talented musicians of all nationalities.
