The V George Gershwin Competition for String Instruments will take place March 13-16, 2023 in New York City.
Competition will be presented in 3 age categories: 8-12, 13-17, and 18-38 (inclusive).

The V George Gershwin Competition for Young Artists' Chamber Ensembles will take place June 17-22, 2023.

The V George Gershwin Competition for winds/brass and voice will take place in in 2024.

The Competition is named after George Gershwin, whose music had long been a part of the American consciousness. Truly a pioneer in his field, George Gershwin drew inspiration from European classical music, American popular music, and jazz to form a unique style that would come to define American music.

Offering international talents performance opportunities, the competition aims to universalize George Gershwin's extraordinary legacy around the world. George Gershwin International Music Competition 2023 is a magical journey to the world of music. A week, full of exquisite performances, master classes, and enlightening community outreach concerts, culminate with the competition Award Ceremony, when the winners will be presented with prizes and concert engagements.

Along with monetary awards, finalists of the Gershwin International Music Competition 2023 will receive concerts in the United States and Europe, recordings on acclaimed music label, appearences with orchestras, alongside with marketing/media promotion.

Founded in 2013 by American pianist and composer Michael Bulychev-Okser, George Gershwin International Music Competition takes place every two years in New York, USA, and is open to talented musicians of all nationalities.
