VERTEX PRIZE - SOLO WITH ORCHESTRA

To be awarded to 3 contestants:


1) during the Live Audition in New York - February 28;

2) As a result of video audition on June 1, 2025;

3) After completion of the final round of Piano competition - November 2, 2025.

Open to all solo instruments: strings, winds, brass, piano, and voice. Not open to ensembles.

Solo with Symphony orchestra of a concerto of own choice, recorded in the US or Europe by high-tech multi-cams with 32 mics.


GRAND PRIX

To be presented to only 1 contestant among all categories and instruments as cumultative result of 2025-2026 auditions.


$5,000 USA, Gershwin Trophy, Concerts in the United States and abroad, Recording/Branding, Orchestra Performance.



PIANO

Artists Category

I Prize: $2,000 prize + $1,250 worth of concert engagements in The USA and Europe.


II Prize: $1,000 prize + $500 worth of concert engagements in The United States.


III Prize: $500 prize + $250 worth of 1 concert engagement in New York, USA.


Young Artists Category

I Prize: $500 USA, Gold Medal, Concerts in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.


II Prize: $250 USA, Silver Medal, 2 Concerts in New York & New Jersey.


III Prize: $100 USA, Bronze Medal, Concert in New York + free masterclass with world-class professor for your instrument


Talent Show Category

I Prize: Trophy, Diploma, Concerts participation in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.


II Prize: Trophy, Diploma, Participation in 2 concerts New York + free masterclass with world-class professor for your instrument


III Prize: Trophy, Diploma, Participation in 1 concert in New York + free masterclass with world-class professor for your instrument



CHAMBER ENSEMBLES

Artists Category

I Prize: $1,000 prize + $1,250 worth of concert engagements in The USA and Europe.


II Prize: $500 prize + $500 worth of concert engagements in The United States.


III Prize: $250 prize + $250 worth of 1 concert engagement in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.


Young Artists Category (Average age should be between 8-18 years of age)

I Prize: $500 USA, Gold Medals, Concerts in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.


II Prize: $300 USA, Silver Medals, 2 Concerts in New York.


III Prize: $200 USA, Bronze Medals, Concerts in New York + free masterclass with Chamber Ensembles specialist

The Gershwin International Music Competition holds the right to:

  • - Award additional prizes in any category
  • - Split the prizes between several contestants in any category
    (Except I prize and Grand Prix)
  • - Not to award one or more prizes, if the performance level of the participants does not satisfy the artistic requirements of the Competition.
