Application process


All applicants must submit:

  • - Completed application form, indicating Preliminary Round type:

    -Link(s) to an online recordings)
    (YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive)


  • APPLICATION FEE

  • Soloists - $120

  • Supporting materials:
    • - Biography
    • - 1 photograph (headshot)
    • - Proof of age (photocopy of birth certificate, driver's license, passport, etc.)

Preliminary Round

To be admitted to the competition's final rounds, applicants must go through the preliminary audition.

Video Recording Audition

Candidates can apply to The Gershwin Competition 2026 by submitting a video recording.
Please listen to the video files before submitting to guarantee the highest quality of the recording.
Recording formats: Send links to your Internet video recording (such as Youtube, Vimeo, Soundcloud, etc.)



Recording rules

- Participants can submit 1 or several recordings, which fit the timing indicated for specific age category. Jury members can accept recordings which exceed performance time by 2-3 minutes (if needed).

- We don't have specific requirements to the camera angle, however we would like a recording to have a nice sound quality.

- The recording does NOT have to be made specifically for the Gershwin Competition. We now accept recording(s) made at earlier date(s).
