The VI George Gershwin Competition for Piano and Chamber Ensembles will take place October 29-November 3, 2025 in New York City.
Preliminary Round Live will take place February 27-28 at Piano Piano Studios in New York City.
Competition is presented in 3 age categories: 8-12, 13-17, & 18-40 (inclusive).
The Competitions-2025 are open to pianists and chamber ensembles only.
George Gershwin Competition for strings, voice and winds/brass will take place in 2026. Please stay put for exact dates and details in December of 2025.

George Gershwin International Music Competition 2025 is a magical journey to the world of music. A week, full of exquisite performances, master classes, and enlightening community outreach concerts, culminate with the competition Award Ceremony, when the winners will be presented with prizes and concert engagements.
Along with monetary awards, finalists of the Gershwin International Music Competition 2025 will receive concerts in the United States and Europe, profesisonally recorded appearences with orchestras, marketing/media promotion, and special prizes.
Founded in 2013 by American pianist and composer Michael Bulychev-Okser, George Gershwin International Music Competition takes place every two years in New York, USA, and is open to talented musicians of all nationalities.
